My interest in computing began in 1976 at high school, the year Enterprise became the first Space Shuttle Orbiter. Although graduating as a Veterinary Surgeon and practising for 10 years, computers were always a fascination.  Realising they were becoming an integral part of business and frustrated at lack of uptake in the veterinary group, despite some powerful developing business applications, I chose an alternative career path.

In the mid 1990’s an opportunity arose to build a computer telephony software development and service provider business. Growing from a base in Christchurch and moving to Auckland created an opportunity to become part of a much bigger technology investment company, Brocker Investments, with reach into the Pacific, North America and Canada.  Retained after our sale on a five year contract as General Manager, I was responsible for sales and deployment of our software into 3 continents which supported Brocker’s dual listing on the Toronto and NASDAQ stock exchanges.

Since 2002 I’ve owned, consulted to and partnered with businesses varying from personal and commercial finance, residential property development, production animal nutrition and of course, High Profile.

While I started out in a consulting position at High Profile nearly three years ago, my involvement with Andrew has grown as the success of the company is accelerating with 1FiCS’s unique benefits in a world with increasing compliance demands from both internal systems and regulation.

What really excites me about my role at High Profile is to have the opportunity to help large global organisations understand how 1FiCScan help them develop a strong ethical culture where the right things are done more often because people want to and that this is a more profitable path.

Working as I do on something I’m so passionate about can become all consuming but I make a point of taking time out to go mountain biking and water-skiing. I love heading out on my bike into the Port Hills around Christchurch where I can physically challenge myself.  Despite the occasional injury, it’s a chance to get closer to nature.
